The Multibed Clinic
Our approach to acupuncture means that we treat each person as an individual assessing needs on a physical, mental, and emotional level. You may choose acupuncture for a long term condition, a recent problem, or just because you want to take care of yourself.
In the Far East and America the practice of treating more than one person at the same time has become commonplace. This enables the practitioner to place needles in one patient, leave them to relax into their treatment, and then move on to another patient.
By treating more than one patient each hour, a practitioner can significantly reduce the price of each treatment and pass the savings on to the patient. This also means that there is the added bonus of no waiting lists.
The multibed setting is a great way to chat to your practitioner and meet other patients in a very relaxed atmosphere. This can promote a sense of humanity and togetherness that enhances the healing process. For more information about community and multibed clinics go to www.acmac.net
What Is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a distinct medical tradition that has been practiced for centuries as a preventive medicine and also as a natural way to treat acute and chronic conditions.
The NHS approves acupuncture for the treatment of a number of conditions including pain associated with osteoarthritis of the knee, migraines, tension type headaches, nausea, vomiting, and dental pain.
Most acupuncture treatments last around 40 minutes. Some patients feel immediate benefit but more often or not a course of treatment is required for most complaints. Cost is an issue for the majority of patients as it prevents them from returning.
The reduced fee we offer makes acupuncture a more affordable option. You can receive frequent treatment to feel the benefit for longer periods and have maintenance sessions to keep up the sense of general wellbeing.
You can get more information on current scientific research into the effectiveness of acupuncture by visiting www.acupuncture.org.uk
If you feel that the Community Clinic is not ideal for you please feel free to speak to our practitioners, they also have private practices and private rooms at the clinic.
